This morning, at 9:08 a.m., the Alicante Provincial Firefighters Consortium received a notice alerting of an accident on the N-332, between the Pedreguer and Gata de Gorgos industrial estates. The collision involved two vehicles and two women, with one of them trapped inside her car.
The rescue team, made up of four firefighters, among which were a sergeant, a corporal and six firefighters from Benissa and Dénia, was quickly deployed to the accident site. The situation required a delicate extrication operation to free the woman trapped in the vehicle.
For almost an hour, from 09:08 a.m. to 10:10 a.m., firefighters worked to ensure the victim's safety while extracting him from the car. As confirmed by the Councilor for Citizen Security of the Gata City Council, Joanvi Vallés, a Local Police patrol from the municipality attended the scene of the accident.
A Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance traveled to the scene of the accident and subsequently transferred the two affected women to the hospital.
