The councilor for Urbanism and the Environment, Laura Castellà, and the councilor for Tourism and Economic Promotion, Ricardo Sendra, met last week with Patricia Blanquer, national deputy, with the intention of streamline the procedures of the project that will put an end to the black point of the Hostal de Sant Jaume.
This has already become a historical claim for both the residents of Pego and Oliva. Last May the approval of the works was confirmed by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda that will put an end to the dangerous crossing between CV-678 and N-332.
The project
The reform will consist of install an overpass with which it will be possible to prevent vehicles from crossing at this fateful point. In addition they will be built two roundabouts, one at the height of the citrus company and another at the access to the equestrian of Oliva Nova.
On the other hand, a new two-kilometer lane will be opened that will allow entry to the various rural roads. The project is valued at 6.420.000 euros.
This project, already drawn up, has already been on public display so that allegations could be presented, in fact the deadline to do so has already expired.
“Now we want to give a new impulse on the part of the Ministry. We have achieved the commitment of the deputy to speak with the Ministry about the project and that it can be expedited, so that at the beginning of the year 2022 we can have a concrete response regarding the deadlines set to carry out these works so claimed and important for the pegolinos and pegolinas ”, announced the councilors.
