The City Council of Pedreguer will receive €197.222,80 euros in aid from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) of the Generalitat Valenciana to improve the industrial area of Les Galgues. This will be 98,61% of the total cost of the action.
Last February, the City Council plenary session approved unanimously to participate in the call for IVACE aid. The actions in the Polígono Industrial les Galgues contemplate:
- Improvement of urban mobility: creation/adaptation of bike lanes; Creation/adaptation of canopies for bus stops within the industrial estate or within a radius of 300 m. from any of the accesses to the polygon; creation/improvement of parking areas or parking for bicycles and scooters with anti-theft security within the industrial estate; creation/improvement of an area/charging points for electric vehicles, electric bicycles and electric scooters within the industrial estate.
- Improvement of public lighting through energy efficiency measures and renewable energies.
- Improvement of green areas and implementation of the same and on the road of bio-healthy routes, with landscape and environmental regeneration of the polygon.
- Road improvement (qualification of new car parks or roads, wider roads and sidewalks, new accesses, pedestrian walkways).
- Street signage and identification (horizontal or vertical traffic signage; directory of companies and services).
- Improvement of the separate sanitation of wastewater.
The mayor of the municipality, Sergi Ferrús Peris, stated: "We thank IVACE for the subsidy that Pedreguer will receive for another year, since it serves to continue improving the infrastructure of the industrial land and thus offer quality services as demanded by our companies".
