Today the dog park of Pinar del Pla de Teulada Moraira was inaugurated. Specifically, the area is located on a municipally owned plot adjacent to the IES Teulada.
The general budget of the contract has been 39.970,33 euros with VAT included. This project has fulfilled its objectives of adapting an area suitable for recreation for dogs, adapting part of the plot and the access to it. A functional, facilities, aesthetic and landscape improvement has also been carried out, as well as the installation of Agility elements, benches and litter bins, among others.
The inauguration has had the participation of the Akira association, whose volunteers dedicate themselves altruistically to the care of homeless dogs in the municipality. Raúl Llobell, mayor of Teulada Moraira, thanked the Association for its participation "with which we collaborate and whose daily work is very important and very necessary, since they take care of homeless animals, giving them a good life and looking for a shelter for them . That is why we also understood that our canine residents should be the inaugural user of this project.”
The Councilor for Animal Welfare, Sara Richardson, has stated that she is “delighted to have a dog park in Teulada, where dogs can safely socialize and exercise in a natural environment, so important for their health. It's wonderful to see so many dogs enjoying themselves on the first day of the opening."
Llobell finished the inaugural act by highlighting that "this project was a much-needed service demanded by the public and, now, it is a reality: the urban center of Teulada has a new dog park that, together with the one in the urban center of Moraira, They form two essential public services for the animal welfare of our municipality. The mayor also thanked the great work done by the company in charge of the works.
