Yesterday, Monday, February 26, the installation of bicycle racks began throughout the urban area of Ondara. There will be a total of 30 bike racks, which will provide service for 180 bicycles. They are being installed mainly in those areas where a deficiency has been found and, especially, to provide service to public buildings and areas where a concentration of bicycles has been observed, according to the project of the Technical Office of the Ondara City Council.
The action is part of an IVACE subsidy called "Aid for sustainable mobility" charged to the 2022 budget, with a total cost of €18.825,18, of which IVACE subsidizes €15.558 corresponding to the total of the action. except VAT. The installation will be carried out in its entirety during this week.
Among other locations, the bike racks are being placed next to the swimming pool and the IES Xebic; next to the park on Nations Without State Street; at the intersection of Segària and Joaquina Gavilà streets; in Palmera streets; Doctor Barraquer; in front of the Bullring; in the Schools square; Convent Square; next to the Pool in several locations as it passes through the urban area (mainly next to the parks); Els Pins Music Classroom; New October Square; Sant Jaume street; next to Montgó park and the Health Center; on Lepanto street next to the CEIP Sanchis Guarner; in the O-30 parking lot; in the Savings Bank park; next to the Marjals School and the Marjals playground; among other locations.
