The Ministry of Mobility gives Gata and Pedreguer a section of the N-332 between industrial estates

February 26 from 2024 - 11: 47

On February 20, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility completed the transfer of a section of the N-332 highway to the Municipalities of Gata de Gorgos and Pedreguer. This transfer covers a segment of approximately 3.571 meters, between kilometers 190,600 and 194,220 of said road.

This transfer, as explained by the mayor of Gata, Josep Signes, to this media outlet, is due to the intention of streamlining procedures regarding the urbanization and subdivision projects of the industrial estates of both municipalities. By becoming municipal property, the classification of urban roads will allow the long-awaited adaptation process for the two industrial zones to be easier.

The ownership is divided into two subsections corresponding to each of the municipal terms, with the Gata de Gorgos City Council being responsible for the section that goes from kilometer 190,600 to 191,187, and the Pedreguer City Council is responsible for the section that goes from kilometer 191,187 to 194,220.

The transfer of ownership was carried out in accordance with the provisions of articles 5 and 49 of Law 37/2015, of September 29, on Highways, as well as article 127 of Royal Decree 1812/1994, of September 2, which approves the General Highway Regulations.

It is important to highlight that this transfer does not affect the continuity of the state road network or its functionality, given that the section in question has been classified as an urban road and does not serve long-distance traffic. Furthermore, it does not imply any type of economic transfer or generation of expenses for the General Administration of the State.

From the signing of the minutes, the Town Councils of Gata de Gorgos and Pedreguer assume ownership of the respective road subsections, along with all their auxiliary elements and equipment, assuming responsibility for their conservation, defense and exploitation.
