Compromís promises another 50 million euros for education in the Marina Alta with the Pla Edificant

May 24 from 2023 - 13: 28

Gerard Fullana, as a candidate for the Corts Valencianes for Compromís, and representative of the Marina Alta in his functions, has announced during his visits to the various municipalities of the region that his formation "will continue to bet on revolutionizing Valencian education and especially that of the Alicante municipalities. Thus, he assures him, the Marina Alta will receive more than 50 million for new investments in educational centers.

The Conselleria d'Educació, in the hands of Compromís during the two legislatures of the Botánic, has been one of the main "transforming axes of the government". With a global investment executed and planned of more than 1700 million euros through the "Pla Edificant" infrastructure plan, Fullana has advanced that, soon, the province as a whole will receive more than 400 million in educational infrastructures and the hiring of more than 1900 teachers, "to reach the places that have not yet been reached to put an end to the barracks, open new schools and reform those that are deteriorated."

Future investments for the region

So far, the Marina Alta has come out very well with a record investment this term in schools such as the CEIP la Xara de Dénia, the Xaló high school or the improvements carried out in dozens of centers such as Alcalalí, Benissa or Pego.

For the new stage, Compromís undertakes to invest more than 50 million in towns in the region:

  • Calp more than 19,2 million euros
  • Dénia, which will add another 9,6 million
  • Ondara 1,5 million euros
  • Orba, with 7,5 million for the new institute
  • I hit, more than 1,5 million
  • Poble Nou de Benitatxell 1,9 million euros
  • Els Poblets and its new school 3,8 million euros
  • Teulada Moraira, more than 750.000 euros
  • Xàbia, more than 7,1 million euros

To this money we must add another 20 million for other infrastructures that are being sued by the municipalities at the moment.

More teachers in schools

Another bet of the Valencianistas is to continue adding staff to the teaching staff. In this legislature, more than 5000 have been hired in the province, now they want to add another 1900 to achieve the purposes of continuing to reduce ratios, adapt classrooms, and reinforce integration. In regional data, this translates into an increase in staff of more than 180 teachers intended to meet the demands of the students.

One of the highlights is the bet for the total gratuity of the school canteen, also benefiting 150.000 students and thus continue to increase these factors. Gerard Fullana wanted to highlight “the great effort that has been made to move from a government model that tried to charge to bring food tuppers to being the autonomy that allocates the most resources to student nutrition. Now, the objective is that all the students of the towns of the Marina Alta have this service covered.

Gerard Fullana wanted to highlight: «On Sunday in the Marina Alta we decided between continuing to bet on public education or returning to the model of cuts and barracks of the PP. They are not electoral promises, they are facts, our towns today have better centers, free books and more teachers.

    Good Morning.
Where does Compromís think it would have to get that money?
    R. oh, already from the taxpayers?
For that, they do not need to be administered by Compromís.
