On July 31, the political parties PSPV and Compromís pel Verger reached an agreement to form a left-wing coalition government with a majority for the management of the municipality.
After weeks of talks and negotiations, both parties have decided to join forces with the aim "of achieving an effective management committed to the needs of the people. This agreement represents a firm step towards the achievement of shared objectives for the well-being and progress of the town”, they affirm.
The new government will have a sufficient majority to implement "progressive, sustainable and inclusive policies that benefit the entire local community." With this pact, the groups hope to be able to promote measures in key areas such as education, public housing, the democratization of energy and the fight against climate change. In addition, they assure, special importance will be given to care and support for the most vulnerable groups in society, with the aim of advancing towards a more just and supportive people.
Both the PSPV and Compromís have expressed their satisfaction with this agreement, understanding that it is the right path to build a more united and prosperous community. They have also appreciated the trust placed by the citizens of the Verger and have promised to work with transparency and responsibility to face the challenges that arise in the municipality.
