Calp City Council has prepared a report of the works, investments and services that will be financed throughout 2024 from the remaining treasury resulting from the liquidation of the previous year's budget. This is one of the points that will be debated in tomorrow's ordinary plenary session.
In total, €8.563.802,35 are allocated to 35 initiatives of greater or lesser value that must be executed throughout this year. Among the actions that are financed with the remainder, the 2024 Employment Plan stands out, endowed with €1.000.000. Also in charge of the remainder, the Bono Comercio campaign aimed at encouraging local commerce will be financed with an investment of €500.000.
Other actions in educational matters stand out, such as the project and execution of the remodeling of the CEIP Mediterrani patio and shading for the four educational centers with an investment of €150.000 or the drafting of the project and execution of the renovation of the CEIP Azorín bathrooms for a value of €70.000. €200.000 is also allocated to the accessibility of the Social Services offices in the Music House of the Musical Union.
One of the largest investments is the project and execution of the 700.000st century Tourism Office with an amount of €150.000. In addition, €XNUMX is allocated for the expansion and renovation of the Municipal Brigades facilities on Rosa de los Vientos Avenue.
In terms of urbanizations, the investment of €500.000 for a new asphalt plan in the school area and on Casa Nova Avenue stands out, as well as the acquisition of solar streetlights for urbanizations for an amount of €100.000.
The remainder is also allocated to the acquisition of vehicles for Civil Protection, specifically €160.000, or to the drafting and execution of the Ermita dog park project with an amount of €80.000.
In cultural matters, the creation for the first time of a line of subsidies for cultural promotion stands out; these are subsidies to local cultural entities for their cultural promotion work. €200.000 is allocated for this.
To all these actions are added others in terms of cleaning, environment, culture or security, all of these projects must be executed throughout 2024.
The mayor, Ana Sala, has pointed out that "the City Council has closed the 2023 financial year with a liquid treasury balance of 17 million euros, of which 12 are allocated to various projects and actions. This first report covers the Employment Plan, the bases of which are already ready and will be published shortly, or the Trade Bonus. We continue to focus on improving public roads with a new paving plan for works such as the accessibility of Social Services facilities.
