The Sports Department and the Contracting Department of Benissa have announced the opening of a tender for the construction of two multi-sports courts in the new leisure area of Beniver. These courts will have futsal goals and baskets, and their pavement will be marked with the lines corresponding to the two main sports modalities. In addition, there is the possibility of playing roller hockey and handball in these facilities.
"A lifelong field, one of those in which football or basketball take a backseat and the most important thing is to enjoy the moment with your friends or family", said the Councilor for Sports, Adrián Cabrera, referring to the installation.
For his part, the mayor, Arturo Poquet, who on occasion had to resort to mercromina to heal wounds on his knees, has declared that "Benissa needed to recover that spirit of street sport." To which he added, “families have asked us for a facility of this type so that their children can play in the street as they have done all their lives. Personally, I feel very satisfied with this project and I think it will be a complete success."
The global project will cost 65.000 euros, which will be fully covered by the Alicante Provincial Council within the Plan + Sport and the specifications contemplate a maximum execution period of two months from the formalization of the contract.
