Last night the frantic electoral campaign began with the traditional hanging of posters in Calp, one of the municipalities of the Marina Alta where it is customary to arrive at the appointment with the maximum possible force. PSPV-PSOE, Compromís, Defendamos Calpe, Somos Calpe, PP, Ciudadanos, Vox and Calpe Despierta begin the two packed weeks of political events with which to convince the electorate.
The Plaça de la Constitució seemed empty just a few minutes before midnight, but little by little the formations were congregating in front of the wooden panels that awaited their arrival. An appointment, with the absence of Calpe Despierta, to which those who attended arrived with the renewed illusion of starting over after four years.
The goal for everyone is to conquer the Calpino Town Hall. "It will be 15 intense days that we are starting strong now, although we will work tomorrow," said Paco Quiles, candidate for Defendamos Calpe. Marco Bittner, third on the PSPV-PSOE list, for his part, confessed: "We really hope that there will be a change in the consistory."
