The Occupation Workshop for Women "Ondara We bet on your future VIII" in socio-sanitary care for dependent people in social institutions has led to the incorporation into the staff of the Mare de Déu de la Soledat d'Ondara residence of the ten students who make up the course .
The workshop lasts one year, which began last December 2022. The training corresponds to the level of professionalism certificate II and is given in Ondara thanks to the grant processed by the ADL-AFIC of Ondara, according to what has been given to meet the councilor for Social Care, Mª Carmen Velázquez. This is a grant from the Generalitat Valenciana through the Labora Servei Valencià d'Ocupació i Formació worth 251.354 euros that covers the teaching staff and material necessary to carry out the course.
In December and January the program focused on theoretical training. This February, the 10 students have already begun to work, on a rotating basis, as social and health care assistants to support the center's staff, while they are trained in this specialty. It is expected that they will also work soon in the Ondara Day Center, when it starts up.
The workshop is being given at the Espai Jove and in the practice room of the residence from 07:00 to 15:00. The course has 2 trainers, the director is Ana Julia Fernández Rojo and the trainer, Marta Morant.
