The House of Culture of Ondara welcomed yesterday Thursday, coinciding with the special programming of the week of the woman
(organized by the Department of Culture and Equality of Ondara), the presentation of "No t'ho diré mai", the novel by the writer and actress from Monóvar Marian Díez.
Winner of the 2020 Enric Valor Prize for a novel in Valencian convened by the Alicante Provincial Council, the author was presented by the journalist and writer Jovi Lozano-Seser, an Ondaran author who won the latest edition of Enric Valor and an enthusiastic follower of Díez's work. And it is that, as Lozano-Seser stated in the introduction to the act, "we are faced with a unique author with a great personality that makes her literary debut a complete surprise within the literary scene in Valencian". With a degree in Sociology from the University of Alicante, Marian Díez (Monover, 1972) combines her work as a scriptwriter and writer with cultural management.
In 2002, she published her first book of monologues: "Semper plou quan no hi ha escola", with a prologue by Andreu Buenafuente. Valencians as Catalans. "No t'ho diré mai", the novel that she presented yesterday in Ondara, is her debut in the narrative and an excellent sample of what the current Valencian literary scene is.
In fact, as the writer expressed at the event, the first thing she did promotionally in the Marina Alta region, "winning an award as Enric Valor with a humorous novel and being an author from the south is a double source of pride for me ». Díez thanked the attendees for the warmth in the book signing and expressed the joy that it means to continue promoting the work two years after the publication of her debut in prose.
