Between October 2 and 30, every Sunday at 17:30 p.m., the Santa Creu de Pedreguer church will host the concerts of the 26th edition of the Pedreguer International Organ Festival (Autumn Concerts). For this year's 2022 edition, a diverse repertoire has been prepared, with magnificent performers, faithful to the spirit of the festival and the instrument that is its soul: the magnificent Grenzing organ, which has also been restored this year by the Pedreguer City Council. and that shines again, visually and sonically, with all its splendor.

This restoration, which has been carried out over 4 weeks, has consisted of the total cleaning and complete replacement of all the lead windshields of the organ that were corroded. It has been 4 intense weeks in which the Grenzing company, builder of the instrument and in charge of rehabilitating it, after emptying all the sound material from the organ, has carried out a meticulous job of cleaning and replacing all the windshields that were in poor condition and Subsequently, it has had to be reharmonized to return a valuable organ to its original state, like new.

El first concert, the opening of the 26th Festival, will be the October 2. That day, the protagonists will be the organ and the Heritage Ensemble String Quintet, made up of excellent soloists and professionals, who will be in charge of interpreting the program entitled Aries of opera and concert music for a festival with works by Mozart, Bellini, Strauss, Mascagni and Bernstein.

El second program, the Sunday October 9, entitled Polyphony and Jazz: Discantus, will be in charge of the heart Lluís Vich Vocalis. Throughout this performance, with Josep Vicent Giner on the organ and Perico Sambeat on the sax, they will perform works by Renaissance authors along with pieces by Ginés Pérez and motets from the Misteri d'Elx.

At October 16 concert, entitled Music with light, we will have the opportunity to enjoy Natalia Ursataia on the violin, Vitalii Karpov on the viola and Silvia Castillo on the organ. Throughout the program we will have the opportunity to listen to works by Bach, Vivaldi, Piazzolla, Suki and Ginasterra.

El fourth concert, to be held on the day October 23, is dedicated to L'Encant de les Muses. Throughout the afternoon, Hannah Schlubeck on the pan flute and Ignace Michiels on the organ will offer us pieces by Bach Pergolesi, Mozart, Guilmante and Rutter.

Finally, the October 30, those in charge of closing the 26th edition of the International Organ Festival will be the members of the Rectory Choir with the mezzo-soprano Carla Mayer and under the direction of Jaume Morell. During Sacred Music for the XNUMXst Century we will be able to enjoy works such as Sabat Mater by Karl Jenkins.

The Councilor for Culture (Compromís) of the Pedreguer City Council, Ferran Lloret Morell, has stated that with the organ in perfect condition, like the first day, we hope to continue promoting and fostering art and culture in our Villa with the organ for at least 25 more years.
