On February 14, the ordinary plenary session took place in Calp. The socialist group had presented a motion requesting a reduction in the ICIO tax and in the IBI for the installation of solar energy for self-consumption (we attach the text). The proposal proposes an explanatory statement and a table to be able to discount local taxes in line with the trends set by Europe, the Spanish government and more and more neighboring municipalities.
Despite the initial discrepancies put forward in the debate by the spokesmen for the PP and Ciudadanos, the vote was favorable for the motion, granting a total of 11 votes in favor of the proposal in plenary. Apart from the Compromís per Calp and Defendamos Calp groups, the video report reveals that the socialist proposal finally had the support of Rebeca Merchan, councilor for citizens, and Fernando Ortiz, councilor for Finance, of the Popular Party.
At the end of the session, the Socialist spokesman requested a review of the video record to find out the total support for the proposal, it should not be forgotten that the Socialists had one less councilor for this vote. After the resignation of Pau Marín, the electoral board has not yet transferred the necessary documentation for the recognition of Nacha Rosa as a new councilor in the Calp City Council, so the socialist municipal group had only five members instead of the six who gave him the polls.
The publication, today, of the visual document, on the City Council page, shows how the motion prospers with 11 votes in favor. "From the PSOE we can only thank the trust of those involved and join the satisfaction of having been able to contribute to a local change that improves the lives of citizens while benefiting the planet," communicates the socialist formation.
