The Fira de Fires de Ondara opened its doors last Saturday to start off with a bang a long-awaited annual event among residents and visitors to the town. Among the spaces that could be enjoyed, the «VI Fira Marina Alta amb els 5 sentits. L'oïda”, organized by the Cultural Association of the Marina Alta (MACMA), which was in charge of bringing together the towns of the region around a common cultural element: music.
A large Prado building awaited its attendees who arrived to the rhythm of Colla de la Marina Alta and the Banda de la Marina Alta accompanied by the municipal authorities of each town. The stands were dressed with musical notes, vinyl, gastronomy and, ultimately, culture, to promote the initiatives of Pego i les Valls, Beniarbeig, Benidoleig, Castell de Castells, Dénia, Benitaxell, El Verger, Els Poblets, Gata de Gorgos, La Vall de Laguar, Orba, Pedreguer, Xàbia and Ondara.
Among the events of the fair, the act of recognition of the cultural trajectory of the musical groups of the Marina Alta stood out, with the presence of the General Director of Tourism, Herick Campos, the president of the Macma and mayor of Ondara, José Ramiro, the regional president of the Federation of Valencian Musical Societies, Manolo Berenguer, and Jaume Buigues, member of the Valencian Federation of Dolçainers and Tabaleters. The recognized groups belong to the municipalities of Beniarbeig, Benidoleig, Benissa, Calp, Castells, Dénia, Poble Nou de Benitatxell, El Verger, Els Poblets, Gata, Jesús Pobre, La Rectoria, Vall d'Ebo, Orba, Parcent, Pedreguer, I hit, Teulada, Xàbia, Xaló and Ondara.
In this way, the meeting lasted until Sunday afternoon, giving way to a new week of Fira de Fires ondarera and giving the Prado to the Trade and Business Fair this coming weekend.
