Trifitness31 and the Segària Cycling Club, with the collaboration of the Ondara City Council through the Department of Sports, organize the II Águila de Segària Cycle Sports March on Saturday, February 24, 2024. The event was presented by the Sports Councilor of Ondara, Lluís Fornés, accompanied by representatives of Trifitness31; from the Segària Cycling Club; the Ondara Sports technician, Ana Ribes; the chief and officer of the Ondara Local Police, Toni Galiano and Guarde Torres.
The II Águila de Segària Cycle Sports Walk has a single modality: a 122 km walk, with a gradient of 1.710 m. The departure will be on Saturday, February 24 at 8:30 from the bullring. The registration They can be done until February 19.
The cycle sports event will be held in Ondara and the roads that run through the town's towns, La Xara, Pedreguer, Gata de Gorgos, Benitatxell, Moraira, Benissa, Pinós, Xaló, Orba, Pego and Ràfol. The start and finish line will be located next to the Ondara bullring.
Traffic will be closed between the red flag and the green flag of the Civil Traffic Guard, starting with the green flag it will be controlled but open, a fact that requires participants to respect current traffic regulations.
The ride is open to all cyclists over 16 years of age. Those over 75 years of age will only be able to participate with the federation's 2024 license in force. To participate, it is mandatory to be a member of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC), or subscribe to the day license that includes the insurance provided by the organization.
The use of accompanying vehicles is prohibited in accordance with the new traffic law. The organization provides shuttle vehicles, ambulance, mechanical service and broom car during the test.
At the end of the march the following prizes will be awarded: Prize for the largest club; to the club with the largest number of women; to the oldest cyclist; to the youngest cyclist; to the furthest cyclist; to the three local cyclists who spend the least time completing the test; to the three cyclists who spend the least time in the timed section up the Bèrnia pass; and the three cyclists who invest the least time in the timed section of ascent of the Bèrnia pass.
