Ondara will live from July 7 to 12, 2022 its first Patron Saint Festivities in Honor in the post-pandemic Soledat. They will be the first to be held normally, since those of the year 2019 (in 2020 they could not be held, and in 2021 they were held in the month of September in an atypical way due to the health situation). This year 2022, Ondara will have the patron saint festivities of Soledad with traditional acts and without restrictions; adapted, yes, to the economic situation that has been experienced due to the difficulty of raising the funds that are usually collected throughout the year by the Commission.
The members of the Commission of Soledad Ondara 2022 (which, as there are no festeros, has been made up of the relatives of the Mayor and Children's Courts) have been the promoters and organizers of these festivities, having made a great effort to raise funds for the parties throughout the year, despite the restrictions due to the health situation, which have prevented the organization of certain events and therefore the amount available to organize the parties has been less than years ago. His effort has been appreciated by the Mayor of Ondara, José Ramiro; and by the Regidor of Festivals and Traditions, Miguel Gomis, who took the opportunity to ask for maximum participation and invite the entire town to enjoy the festivals and participate in all the scheduled events. From the Soledad 2022 Commission they hope that people will be encouraged to participate in all the events, since they have made a lot of effort to be able to organize a Festival that is as similar as possible to the one before the pandemic.
The Coronation act will be on Friday, July 8 at 23:XNUMX p.m., with the Coronation of the two Queens, the Major and the Child, who will be accompanied by the Courts of Honor for Children and Major. Afterwards, a macro disco-mobile will be offered in the bullring. This year the festivals on Saturday (Tokyo) and Sunday (Diamonds) stand out. There will be popular dinners on Saturday and Sunday. The cavalcade of floats, troupes and horses on Saturday will have great prizes.
For children, on Saturday 9 in the morning the children's park in Prado will be offered. The Fiestas de la Soledad 2022 will feature their traditional religious acts, such as the masses and the offering on Sunday, July 10, to the Virgin Mary of Solitude. Already on Monday, July 11, the day of the patron saint, religious acts will mark the activity of the festivities, in the morning with the Solemn Mass sung by the Cor Capella Santíssima Mare de Déu de la Soledat, and afterwards there will be a cridanera fireworks, and the Commission will offer a Wine of Honor in the Prado. In the afternoon, the traditional procession will be held in which ondarencs and ondarenques pay homage to their patron saint, the Virgin Mary of Solitude, which will be accompanied by the band of the Ondara Musical Union, the Colla de Dolçainaes i Tabals and the Charanga L 'Lectern.
