This weekend, the Association of Moors and Christians Santíssim Crist de la Suor will carry out the festive events of Mig Any, marking the festive equator that will allow the festive officials of the year 2023 to be dismissed and welcome the new captains, standard bearer and second lieutenants of 2024.

El Friday April 19, the different filaes will enjoy a dinner at the kábilas and then begin the festivities with a popular xaranga at 23:30 p.m. in Plaza del Mosquit. He Saturday April 20 will be highlighted as the main day of the celebrations. In the emblematic Plaza Mayor, at 20:30 p.m., the most anticipated event will take place: the change, farewell and presentation of festive charges corresponding to the years 2023 and 2024.

During this important moment, José Pineda Fluixá and Marian Femenía Pastor, representatives of the Filà Mascarats, together with Ángel Moya Rodríguez and Cristina Andrés Magrañal, from the Filà Almogávares, will say goodbye as Captain Moro and Favorita, and Captain Cristiano and First Lady respectively. This will make way for the new Captains for 2024, Quico and Andrea Thewissen Pastor of the Filà Moriscos, and Miguel Crespo Martínez and Fani Poquet Mut of the Filà Contrabandistas.

Another notable role is that of Standard Bearer of the Association of Moors and Christians, which this year will be carried out by Puri Verdú Balaguer from the Filà Almogávares, who will take over from Tania García García from the Filà Tuareg. As for the Christian and Moorish ensigns, Marcos Fernández de Bulder from Contrabandistas and Andreu Sellés Perles from Moriscos will pass the baton to Joaquim Pastor Pastor from the Filà Mozárabes and Juan Ramón Clares Trabalón from the Filà Tuareg.

El sunday April 21 will begin with the traditional paellas contest on Conde de Altea street, followed by the children's parade of corporals and squads in the afternoon, thus marking the closing of the Mig Any Fester. This event also represents the premiere of the new board of directors of the Associació de Moros i Cristians Santíssim Crist de la Suor, under the presidency of Rocío Pastor.
