Enclave Land Art returns to the Vall de Gallinera with the second Enclave Cinema Conference. From September 23 to 25, the screening of short films from this year's invited festival, the Dona i Cinema International Biennial, will take place on the court of the Benialí pediment.
The selection of audiovisual works has been conceived under the prism of "Glances: own gaze, interior gaze and territory and open gaze" as a complement to the concept proposed for the Enclave Land Art artistic residency. Dona i Cinema Association
Dona i Cinema is an association that was born thanks to the efforts of professional women in the audiovisual sector in the city of Valencia to make visible the work of women filmmakers and the entire audiovisual industry in general. Dona i Cinema builds a living space for audiovisual and social creation and research directed by women, thus promoting the dissemination of their initiatives and productions while promoting equal opportunities in the Visual Arts.
The International Dona i Cinema Mujer y Cine Woman & Film Biennial arrives in January 2023 for its seventh edition, it will give space to the best cinema made by women and a series of parallel activities to reflect on the role of women in the film industry, as well as promoting other looks not always represented on the big (and small) screen.
Enclave Cinema will have the presence throughout the weekend of the festival's directors: Giovanna Ribes and Deborah Micheletti, as well as different directors and personalities linked to the audiovisual world through the Dona i Cinema International Biennial, with the aim of generating a discussion platform on the proposals among the attending public through participatory debates and colloquiums. It will also have the participation and involvement of l'Associació de Dones de la Foradà, the women's group of La Vall de Gallinera.
Enclave Land Art
The artistic project Enclave Land Art was born with the philosophy of promoting the dialogue between human beings and nature to reinterpret the territory through contemporary art. The origin of Enclave Land Art is linked to the creation of artistic itineraries in rural areas, created through a two-week international artist residency.
The Town Hall of Vall de Gallinera considers that with these actions culture is dignified and structured in the rural environment, considering culture as one of the agents to combat depopulation.

Friday September 23
Own View Section
- 20:00 p.m. Opening of doors with the space food truck Highway and Manta.
- 21:30 p.m. Screening of short films. This section is an immersion in the history of the festival through some of the works that have been awarded throughout the previous editions. This section reveals the essence of the Dona i Cinema International Biennial – Woman and Cinema – Woman & Film. Section presented by Deborah Micheletti, director of the Dona i Cinema – Mujer y Cine – Woman & Film International Biennial and will feature the participation of people linked to the projected productions.
Saturday 24 2022 September
Territory Section
- 10:00 a.m. Guided tour. Excursion departing from the town hall of Benialí. Saturday's session is focused on the territory. Following the Corrals de la Carroja route, we will discover the artistic itinerary of Enclave Land Art 2021 with a guided tour. Previously, the monographs of the three Enclave Land Art 2021 projects that do not have a physical result will be screened in the town hall. This act lasts approximately 20 minutes.
- 19:00 p.m. Round table Dona, ruralitat i cinema of the Associació de Dones de la Foradà and the invited directors. Moderated by Victoria Falcó.
Inner Look Section
- 20:00 p.m. Opening of doors with the space food truck Highway and Manta.
- 21:30 p.m. Screening of short films. This section completes the conceptual proposal of Enclave Land Art: a duality present in any reality that conditions and defines us. Exhibitively, the selected short films are interpreted in a context of confrontation between two dimensions and the same reality: the look towards the interior of the character through the apparent exterior normality or that the very concept of freedom, when facing captivity directly, is when is really questioned. This section will be presented by Raül Julve, director of Enclave Cinema, and will feature the presence of people linked to the projected productions, with the intention of generating a debate that will help us delve into their proposals.
Sunday 25 2022 September
Open Look Section
- 10:30 a.m. Art and cinema. Woman and Territory. This section merges art and cinema. We dedicate an exhibition space to video art with the presence of women who are a benchmark in this discipline. The closing of the conference will become the start of the Enclave Land Art residency next November: after three months of calls, led by the director of Enclave Land Arte Miguel Mallol, we will learn about the 7 projects selected throughout the world to participate in the IV edition of Enclave Land Art.
