The budget of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana for next year for the province of Alicante already has its lines marked. The regional secretary of the area, Frances Colomer, assured in the presentation of these that the investment for the province will increase by 1,5 million more compared to 2022. This represents a total of 39.270.569 euros for Alicante tourism in the next year.
Investment for the fire areas in Vall d'Ebo
One of the investments highlighted by the secretary of the budgets has been the one allocated to the areas and towns affected by the fire in the Vall d'Ebo. So that special tourism revitalization and governance plans will be carried out. Specifically, there will be three plans through which they will receive a total of 2023 euros in 270.000.
On the one hand, through the Mancomunitat de Serveis Socials i Turisme de Pego, L'Atzúbia i Les Valls, 160.000 euros will be allocated. On the other, from the Marina Alta Cultural Association, it is planned to allocate 50.000 euros. And, finally, through the Mancomunitat Xapolar, 60.000 euros will be allocated next year.
Other investments and projects for 2023 in Alicante
On the other hand, the head of Turisme highlighted that, in 2023, "from Turisme we will allocate 2.260.000 euros to promote the Tourism Sustainability Plans of Altea, Alicante and the Commonwealth of the Valley of Pop».
Within the framework of the Next Generation EU Funds, Colomer highlighted that more than 4,5 million euros will be provided to the destinations of Alicante, Vall de Pop, Altea and Benidorm for their ordinary Sustainability Plans.
In addition, European funds will also materialize in actions in other destinations such as «Dénia, Torrevieja, Alcoy, Benissa and Finestrat, to which will be added Benidorm, Benitatxell, El Campello, Elche, Guardamar del Segura, Santa Pola, Alfàs del Pi, Alicante and Villajoyosa.
