The coronavirus is back on the rampage in the Marina Alta region, whose health department has added 107 new cases in just three days. In addition, a new positive death has been registered in COVID for the first time in weeks.
With these new infections, the incidence of the Marina Alta increases to 161,10 cases per 100.000 inhabitants. In this way, it is at high risk of contagion according to current indicators.
By municipalities, Dénia It is the population that registers the most, with 55 new cases. An important rebound considering that the regional capital had good indices until a few days ago. Its incidence stands at 126 cases, approaching high risk levels of contagion.
Xàbia It also adds a large number of infections again. In total there have been 25 new cases that cause the incidence to skyrocket to 207. However, the worst news comes from the death indicator, as the town registers a new death with coronavirus, now 13 since the start of the pandemic.
With the new infections added, there are already 5 populations of the Marina Alta at extreme risk. These are Teulada, Xaló, El Verger, Ràfol and Orba.
