Pego will install traffic surveillance cameras in the industrial estate thanks to a grant

The City Council of Pego has received a subsidy of 197.025 euros for the improvement of business park infrastructures. This is an aid granted by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) that the consistory will allocate to a series of actions in the industrial estate of the municipality.

The improvements that will be carried out will be the implementation of fiber optics and other services or infrastructures that can be cabled, for an amount of 129.526 euros. Cameras will also be strategically installed in the industrial area that will allow the Local Police to monitor traffic in the area. The amount of this section will be 9.710 euros.

On the other hand, 38.000 euros of the total will be allocated to road improvements such as the fitting out of new car parks, wider sidewalks, new accesses, pedestrian walkways, as well as necessary remodeling operations. Regarding the widening of sidewalks, the widening will be 3,5 meters in two-way roads and 4 meters in one-way roads.

Regarding the signs, 7.664 euros of the total aid will be invested for the renovation and placement of new signs, as well as to adapt roads and signage with the aim of promoting accessibility to the area and to the companies located in it for people with mobility reduced or sensory deficit.

With these actions, point from the government team, "safety, accessibility and also efficiency will be improved, especially for the business sector in the industrial estate. In fact, these were demands from these companies, so making them a reality will improve their competitiveness”.
