Fishing break: the Fishermen's Guilds of the Marina Alta also moor their boats

21 March 2022 - 11: 11

On March 18, the National Federation of Fishermen's Guilds (FNCD) announced its break until next Wednesday, March 23. Now, the Fishermen's Guilds that represent the Marina Alta have also officially announced the mooring of their boats at the beginning of the week. These are the ones from Xàbia, Dénia and Calpe.

From the Fishermen's Guild of Xàbia they announce: "We stand in solidarity with the entire primary sector and carriers who today claim the same as us." Thus, the three brotherhoods denounce the same fact: the increase in the price of fuel. For its part, The Dénia Fishermen's Guild adds that the Fish Market will also remain closed until then.

All this, while waiting for the meeting that the FNCP has scheduled for Wednesday with the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, at 17:00 p.m. Therefore, the three Brotherhoods warn that, depending on the direction and conclusions of the meeting, they will take further action on it or go back to work.

The Xàbia fishermen specify that, since 2020 the price of fuel has tripled, so "Today, going out to work costs money". "We need an urgent solution, in the face of this very serious situation, since the subsistence of many families who directly and indirectly survive from the sea are at stake. Jávea is a seafaring town that cannot live with its back to the sea," they add.

About the discharge of the Gorgos river, wipes and shit in general, we don't say anything?

This is a calamity of the first order.

Throwing our waste into the sea is intolerable, and there is a solution, we just need to get to work on it, but without meetings… WORK TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chulvi, stop making bows with your ridiculous jacket and get to work, I know you don't know but ask how it's done, get to solve Jávea's problems!!!!

    ENOUGH NOW!!!!!!!!

They seem to have plenty of money for a new sports center and swimming pool, but no money to deal with waste and to protect the environment.

        You´r right!

Well, they say that they have invested a lot of money in Spanish classes at the Social Center. The same may interest them and thus communicate in a much more productive and effective way.
Your opinions also count and that you do not speak Spanish or do not get involved in society is the advantage of all these corrupt nepotists. The foreign communities that live here are numerous and pay their taxes. If you want a better society, start by getting involved in it. They have long been expected as neighbors, not as birds of passage that do not care about anything, only the sun, drinking and eating.
