Work has begun this week to improve the public lighting of the historic center and other streets in the urban area of Ondara within the project to improve energy efficiency, as reported by the Councilor for Public Maintenance and Services of the Ondara City Council, Pere Picornell.
According to the project drawn up by the Municipal Technical Office, the Ondara City Council has started the works this week, which have begun on Sol and Roser streets. The luminaires of the street lamps are going to be changed in almost all the streets of the historic center, and some of the area of Calle Alfatares, Tossals, Joan Gil, and Av Doctor Fleming. Also the new type luminaires on Hortetes de Pamis street.
Specifically, the luminaires (the "head" of the lamppost) will be replaced but not the arms, in the same way that it was already done in the Barrio de Cristo.
The luminaires are very similar to the current ones but in the LED version. In total, 253 luminaires will be changed by the company Montajes Eléctricos ESBER, SL, in accordance with the bidding procedure carried out. The budget is 68.530 + VAT, a total of 82.921,30 euros, which is covered by a subsidy that is a subsidized loan (without interest) from IVACE, half of which is non-refundable.
