5. PEÑÓN D'IFACH - CALP

El Penyal d'Ifac It is the most emblematic icon of Calp and, also, of the Costa Blanca. The Rock is 332 meters high and is connected to the land by a narrow isthmus. It is a geographical accident caused by a landslide in the Serra d'Oltà.

The hiking route to climb the Rock is 5 kilometers, going up and down with a gradient of 300 meters. The first part is relatively simple and can be done with children until you reach the Peñón tunnel, while the second part until the top It may be a little more complicated, but, without a doubt, it is worth it to "crown" the Rock and enjoy unique views.

4. THE ROCK FORADÀ - THE VALL DE GALLINERA

The Foradà peña is located in the Vall de Gallinera at 737 meters above sea level. It is the most emblematic element of the Vall de Gallinera. From the rock there are privileged views of the entire valley. The best known thing about La Foradà is the Solar Alignment, which occurs twice a year (early March and October) and consists of the sunlight passing through the Foradà arch and illuminating the old convent of San Andrés from Benitaia.

This route begins in the center of Benissivà, then you have to go up to Benitaia and start the route along the path that passes through the En Moragues fountain and goes up to the Peña Foradà. About 8,2 kilometers with a gradient of 550 meters.

3. TOP OF MONTGÓ - DÉNIA-XÀBIA

Of the three routes that lead to the top of Montgó, this is the shortest. The route begins in Les Planes, at the Shooting Range of Dénia and has an estimated duration of 1 hour 45 minutes. It is 3,8 kilometers with a cumulative elevation difference of 550 meters.

From the top of Montgó, the mountain that separates Dénia and Xàbia, the views of the two large municipalities of the Marina Alta are impressive.

2. THE FORAT OF BÈRNIA - XALÓ-BENISSA

The Sierra de Bèrnia is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and spectacular in the region. Border between the Marina Alta and the Marina Baixa, one of the most popular routes is the climb to Forat de Bèrnia.

The circular route is 9 kilometers long with a drop of 400 meters and a medium-high difficulty. The path begins in les Cases de Bèrnia, in the municipality of Xaló. From there the steepest part of the route begins until you reach Forat, a 15-meter tunnel that you have to cross crouching down until you reach the other part of the mountain range that will surprise you with the impressive views of Altea and the entire Marina Baixa.

1. BARRANC DE L'INFERN - LA VALL DE LAGUAR

The Hiking Cathedral could not be missing among the essential hiking routes to discover the Marina Alta. Located in the Vall de Laguar, the Barranc de l'Infern is a great tourist attraction, especially for lovers of trekking and hiking.

The route begins in the center of Fleix (La Vall de Laguar), ahead of 14 kilometers of circular route with three climbs and their respective steep descents. First, go down the famous 6,873 steps, then El Barranc del Salt, El Forat, El Pou de la Juvea, Barranc de Racons and some incredible places. A tough route, but one that, without a doubt, is worth doing.
