The Provincial Council of Alicante will invest 250.000 euros this year in an extensive aid program for carrying out cultural, musical and scenic activities aimed at the thirty municipalities of the province at risk of depopulation. The new grants, which are being announced for the first time, are now available to the populations who may request them until the first days of August.
The Vice President and Deputy for Culture, Julia Parra, has announced that with the open line "we continue to commit to cultural decentralization through the provision of resources that will guarantee the programming of activities in 30 Alicante towns that need this new injection to develop proposals of interest addressed both to its conventions and to a wider public”.
The package called by the Culture area is intended for the municipalities of Alcocer de Planes, Alcoleja, Almudaina, Balones, Benasau, Beniardà, Beniarrés, Benifallim, Benifato, Benilloba, Benillup, Benimassot, Castell de Castells, El Castell de Guadalest, Confrides, Facheca, Famorca, Gorga, Millena, L'Orxa, Penàguila, Planes, Quatretondeta, Sella, Tàrbena, Tollos, La Torre de les Maçanes, The Vall d'Alcalà, Vall de Gallinera and La Vall d'Ebo.
The grants are intended for the promotion of activities directly related to the field of culture, music, plastic arts, performing arts and traditional or avant-garde arts such as musical performances, theater, festivals, contests, fairs, contests, tributes, exhibitions, congresses or symposiums, among others. In addition, it also includes proposals aimed at children, as well as the acquisition of material related to this area.
Also included among the eligible activities is the design, layout, editing, printing and reproduction of books and magazines, CDs, DVDs or any other type of publication or audiovisual material related to the cultural field, whether on paper or digital.
Julia Parra has highlighted that "a wide range of investment possibilities has been considered to cover the needs and cultural initiatives that arise in municipalities with fewer resources through both these specific aids for populations at risk of depopulation and other lines of subsidy that also value this situation of depopulation in a special way”.
