Civil Protection is a very loved and valued group in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, and this can be seen in small gestures such as the interest shown by many people in contributing to their work through private donations.
Recently, the group has received two important donations of material that will help them be more prepared for emergencies. One of them is the Heimlich maneuver vest donated by the dance troupe Pam's Dance Fitness Ladies.
It is a highly valuable tool to be able to teach the public the Heimlich maneuver in a simple and effective way. A piece of foam jumps into the air when the maneuver is carried out correctly. It also presents a pad to manage the blows on the back necessary to carry out the ARC and ERC protocols.
The second donation is an evacuation chair donated by two residents of the municipality of German nationality, Hermann and Angelika. This chair allows the smooth descent of stairs in case of an emergency when there is no possibility of using an elevator to evacuate a person. This German couple is already a regular collaborator of the poblera group. Just a few months ago they delivered bicycles of different sizes, signage, mini traffic lights, simulator glasses, etc. for the road safety circuits set up by the Police and Civil Protection.
As the Councilor for Citizen Security, María José Ivars, has highlighted, “all the Civil Protection volunteers carry out impeccable work in our municipality, and also selflessly. It is not surprising that people want to thank him by contributing their grain of sand. To those people, we can only say thank you for your consideration and kindness."
