Last Saturday, the streets of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell witnessed an event with great social impact: the IV Cursa Solidària de la Dona. With an impressive orange tide, 263 people joined this initiative, demonstrating their commitment to solidarity and inclusion.

The main objective of this race was not only to promote sports and physical exercise, but also to raise funds for Aprosdeco, a non-profit association dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with intellectual functional diversity since 1974. Thanks to the joint effort of the participants and the collaboration of various local organizations and entities, the notable figure of 700 euros was raised to support the important work of this association.

One of the most notable aspects of the day was the active participation of Aprosdeco members in the organization and development of the event. From the creation and dissemination of motivational videos on social networks to their active presence in the run and walk, their commitment was fundamental to the success of the initiative.

The day was full of activities, from a raffle with gifts from local businesses to stretching sessions, dancing and an immersive experience with a 360º camera. In addition, the participation of all boys and girls was recognized with the awarding of medals, thus promoting the values of inclusion and participation.

The local authorities, represented by the Councilor for Equality, Isa Garrido, and the Councilor for Sports, Javi Cabrera, expressed their gratitude to all those involved in the event, especially highlighting the collaboration of Aprosdeco, the Benitatxell Multiesport Club, the Associació de Dones , the Department of Social Services, the municipal brigade, the Police, Civil Protection, DYA Valencia and the numerous local businesses that made this solidarity day possible.

The IV Cursa Solidària de la Dona was not only a sporting success, but also a clear example of how the community can come together to support social causes and promote inclusion and solidarity in society.
