Benissa will be affected by a series of traffic and parking measures next Saturday, March 9 due to several events scheduled in the town.
Perimeter of Benissa
Firstly, on the occasion of the celebration of the Benissa Perimeter Race, restrictions will be implemented in different areas. Carrer Palmera will be closed to traffic from 17:00 p.m. on Friday the 8th until the end of the race, and parking in this area will also be prohibited.
Likewise, parking is prohibited on Carrer Alacant, Carrer València and the section of Carrer Senija from Sant Benet to Sant Francesc, from 23:00 p.m. on Friday the 8th until the end of the race.
During the test, which will take place on Saturday, several streets will be closed to traffic and parking will be prohibited. The affected sections will be Avinguda Constitució (in front of the Santa Bàrbara passage), Costera Povil (in front of the Palau access) and signposted sections on Avinguda Madrid.
The race starts will take place from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday along various streets, including Carrer Palmera, Carrer Pare Andrés, Carrer Alacant, Carrer València, among others. These streets will be free of vehicles and closed to traffic from 05:00 to 09:30.
Starting at 10:30 a.m., the race will return to the urban center, running through various streets such as Avinguda Constitució, Carrer Santa Bàrbara, Carrer Sant Domenech, among others, until approximately 22:30 p.m., when the event will end.
Concentration of farmers and tractors
On the other hand, due to the demonstration of farmers and a tractor unit, the Manuel Bru parking lot will be free of vehicles from Friday the 8th at 22:00 p.m. until the end of the demonstration. In addition, at 09:30 a.m., the tractors will leave for Carrer Valle Inclan and Ausiàs March, later arriving at Avinguda País Valencià, where traffic will be cut off until approximately 10:00 a.m.
