The Euroclub association Dénia Last week, he delivered a donation of 500 euros to the Pedreguer Red Cross, which will be used for the local distribution of food for the most needy residents of Pedreguer. The delivery was made by the association's treasurer, Beat Auer, and its president, Aloys Kolbeck, to the representative of the Red Cross, Adela Gilabert, and to the councilor of Social Welfare of Pedreguer, Nicolás Vives.
The municipal Social Welfare department selects recipients according to specific criteria. A check is carried out every six months to determine if recipients still qualify for a benefit.
From the Euroclub they have explained that, despite being an association registered in Dénia, not all the partners live in the capital. Many reside in Els Poblets, El Verger or Pego, but also in La Sella, Monte Solana and Monte Pedreguer, the three urbanizations in the municipality of Pedreguer. For this reason, the ECD board decided a long time ago not only to take into account the aid entities in Dénia when allocating the available donations, but also those of the surrounding towns where the club members live. In 2021, the club provided food at Cáritas El Verger and Els Poblets.
