Last Tuesday, the owners of the Les Galgues de Pedreguer industrial area ratified their desire to become a Management and Modernization Entity (EGM). During the Ratification Assembly held, the commission promoting the EGM of the Pedreguera industrial area has obtained massive support, which represents a transcendental step in the process of adaptation to Law 14/2018, of June 5, of the Generalitat, Management, Modernization and Promotion of the Industrial Areas of the Valencian Community.
With the vote in favor of 72,92% of the owners, who represented 81,71% of the cadastral values of the business area, the requirement of exceeding the double 51% required by Law 14/2018 was widely achieved.
The mayor of Pedreguer, Sergi Ferrús Peris, attended the meeting, since the City Council is also part of this assembly, as the owner of different plots. It should be noted that the City Council has supported, from the beginning, the creation of this EGM.
The assembly was attended by 70 holders out of a total of 96, which represents a participation of 72,92%. The director of Tecnodental Patrimonial SL, Francisco Pérez Carrió, will become the first president of the EGM of the Les Galgues industrial zone.
The conversion into EGM will not be official until one last step is completed, because it has to be ratified by the Plenary Plenary of the Pedreguer City Council during the ordinary session in December, despite the fact that it already received its provisional approval at an earlier point in the process.
From that moment on, the business area will be able to fully benefit from the set of advantages offered by the Law on Industrial Areas, further strengthening its relationship with local administrations through a new specific agreement, and also with the General Directorate of Industry and IVACE. , making it possible to access specific subsidies for this type of entity and allowing more resources to be allocated to the implementation of new value-added services in the business area.
The mayor of Pedreguer thanked the support of businessmen and owners and considered that "it will result in a better performance in the interests of the estate, as one of the most important industrial areas in the Valencian Country". The mayor showed his "commitment to collaborate so that Las Galgas can manage itself, achieve improvements and face future challenges."
