Work began this week to renew the water pipes in Polígono 4, in part of the Camí del Pouet. A total of 290 ml of pipes from the general network and 376 ml of smaller section pipes will be replaced.
The works, which will affect about twenty homes, are intended to improve the conditions of the drinking water service, minimizing the losses and repairs that the neighbors have been suffering. This is a much-needed action, since the current network suffered numerous breakdowns throughout the year, harming the quality of the water and the service.
The total cost of this renovation is 43.241 euros, of which 80% is subsidized by the Diputación de Alicante within the aid line of the +Agua 2021 Plan for hydraulic and supply infrastructures. Thus, the provincial entity will contribute 34.593 euros and the City Council 8.648 euros.
The works are expected to last approximately three weeks. During the course of the works, there may be momentary cuts in the circulation of vehicles, as well as the water supply.
