The Department of Sports of the Teulada City Council has reported on the launch of the first women's grassroots football team in the town. This project's main objective is to promote the participation of women in football, thus filling a previous gap in the municipal sports offer.
The Councilor for Sports and Youth of Teulada Moraira, Josep Ivars, expressed his enthusiasm for this initiative, noting: «We are very happy to inaugurate the first women's grassroots football team in Teulada Moraira. "We want to invite all the young women in the municipality to join the team, because with this initiative we not only encourage female participation in football, but at the same time we instill in youth fundamental values such as camaraderie, equality and respect."
The mayor of Teulada Moraira, Raúl Llobell, also joined the announcement, showing his satisfaction with this new sports offer aimed at young people in the municipality. «It is something that has been pursued for a long time and now it is a reality. I am sure that they will bring much success and joy to Teulada Moraira," said Llobell.
Training for the women's team will begin this week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at the Bernardo Font de Teulada Municipal Stadium, from 20:30 p.m. to 22:00 p.m. They are open to young people over 10 years old interested in being part of the team.
