Yesterday Benissa held the inauguration of the new artificial grass at the Municipal Soccer Field. An event that had the notable presence of Toni Pérez, President of the Alicante Provincial Council, Juan Femenia, the oldest member of the UD Benissa club, Arturo Poquet, Mayor of Benissa, and Adrián Cabrera, Sports Councilor.
Cabrera presented the event by thanking Pérez and Femenia for the visit, as well as the help of the Alicante Provincial Council to make this new lawn a reality.
For his part, Poquet highlighted that "today is a day of congratulations, we are launching this artificial grass and contributing to improving our sports facilities."
Toni Pérez, highest representative of the Provincial Council, wanted to highlight that "with this inauguration we show, once again, the importance that sport has in the Alicante Provincial Council." After his intervention, the most emotional moment of the afternoon took place, in which Juan Femenía, helped by Pérez himself, took the honor kick-off.
The renovation works have been carried out within a month and a half, by the company Realturf Systems SL. Benissa City Council has received an 85% subsidy from the Alicante Provincial Council for the execution of the works.
The new sports turf complies with Fifa Quality and Fifa Quality Pro certifications.
