The decision of the Benissa government to increase the Real Estate Tax (IBI) and the Vehicle Tax (IVTM) has generated strong rejection among the opposition. From the Benissa Actúa platform, the groups Reiniciem Benissa, Compromís per Benissa, CIBE and PSPV-PSOE of Benissa consider this measure as a severe blow to family economies and criticize the lack of consideration of alternatives that could have avoided this tax increase.
With these arguments, the platform has called on the inhabitants of the municipality to participate in a demonstration scheduled for Friday, November 24 at 20:00 p.m. The call seeks to bring together citizens who wish to show their rejection and pressure against the tax increase.
The group assures that there is still an opportunity to reverse this situation by presenting allegations and generating social pressure. They clarify that the approval of the tax increase in the last plenary session is only an initial step, since they plan to present allegations to debate this measure again in the next plenary session.
The formations have made a general call to neighbors, highlighting the importance of active participation. On Saturday, November 18, they will meet at the Benissa market to distribute information about the call.
