Today, in commemoration of Social Justice Day, the regional production company Col·lectiu Mirades presents the third documentary in the series Finds of Exile in open through the project website. Directed by Jose Gayá and with the collaboration of Pau Barrull, Jaume Durà and Noelia Montagud, this documentary offers the direct testimony of individuals from Palestine, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Russia, along with refugees retaliated by fascism.
The documentary, produced by the Comisió d'Ajuda al Refugiat-PV (CEAR-PV) and Col·lectiu Mirades, has been financed by the Department of Participation and Democratic Memory of the Generalitat Valenciana. It addresses the history and present of these people, as well as the reality of the countries in which they have lived. Through interviews and meetings, the constant fight for a more just, free and democratic world is evident, where Human Rights, especially the right to asylum, are guaranteed and respected.
This series of three documentaries seeks to call for solidarity and the defense of Human Rights, offering a deep look from collective memory. Finds of Exile invites us to reflect on the importance of supporting those who have been victims of wars, dictatorships and oppressive regimes, and to work for a future where dignity and freedom are inalienable rights for all.
