The second edition of the Cursa de la Dona in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will take place on next June 11 after being postponed due to the rains in March. The funds raised in the competition will go to Aprosdeco (Association for Pro-Psychic Deficiencies of Dénia and Comarca Marina Alta), which works to promote and make available to people with functional diversity all the resources to improve their quality of life.
Registration and distribution of numbers
Registration includes number to participate in the race and a t-shirt. Cost 3 euros and can be done until this Wednesday, June 8 at the Tourist Office (C/ Mercat, 1) in the morning. It will also be possible to do it until Thursday 9 at 20:00 p.m. through www.somesport.com.
On the other hand, the bibs can be collected at the Mercat street on Friday from 18:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. or from 15:00 p.m. to 16:30 p.m..
This will be the race
The boys and girls will go out first, who will carry out a specific route of 700 meters. Then the adults will. Both walkers and runners and runners will perform a 4,14-kilometre urban route with an almost flat profile. Although the race is non-competitive, the organization has planned gifts for the first 5 people to cross the finish line and the first 5 runners and local runners.
“Poble Nou de Benitatxell needed to recover, after two years of hiatus due to COVID-19, this solidarity race, an event that combines sport with other challenges such as promoting unity and complicity between women and supporting associations that carry out important work in the region”, highlighted the Councilor for Equality and Gender Policies, Víctor Bisquert.
