The Department of Culture of the Benissa City Council is spending part of the summer season to improve,
Through different actions, the Ivars Workshop Art Center and the Municipal Cinema, two cultural spaces that for some time required a necessary update.
The Ivars Workshop will experience an expansion of its stage, an improvement in the lighting and sound equipment, a new counter at the entrances, a large closet for storage and painting of the entire center.
For its part, the Municipal Cinema, which is currently under construction, has changed the screen, has acquired new lighting and sound equipment, as well as curtains and curtains. As regards the stage, it has become a black chamber and its pavement has been modified. But the most significant investment has been the purchase of 213 seats, since the previous ones were somewhat deteriorated after almost 40 years of useful life. All these initiatives are being paid for from the Department of Culture in 2021 and amount to just over 100.000 euros.
The delegate councilor, Rosa Lucía Pino, wanted to remember the investment effort that the council is carrying out in the cultural field. "A good example of this is that the La Llotja works are quite advanced and probably in a few months we will be in a position to initiate actions in terms of musealization," he said.
But apart from the Sala del Consell, one of the capital projects of the current government team, "we are also working on improving and modernizing those spaces that had not received investment for years." Pino closed his speech by highlighting that "all these actions have the main objective of providing a better service to users".
