Throughout the week the north coast of Alicante has been aware of the progress and the direction of the expected storm. Last night the rains arrived, although they have intensified during the early hours and Friday morning. Thus, the latest update from the State Meteorological Agency evidenced the yellow alert for coastal storm and rains in the Marina Alta during the morning.
Although Saturday will be quieter, the rains could return on Sunday to the region, becoming punctually strong. In this way, they would be extended until Monday. All this, after an alarmingly dry winter season, which, if it continues like this, will have serious consequences in summer.
