8M in Dénia: the "chain of women" who joined forces for equality

09 March 2022 - 09: 21

Among the various activities organized by Matria Associació de Dones, yesterday the women's chain convened in Dénia. The rally was held on Calle Marqués de Campo and brought together various people from all over the region.

Due to the pandemic, last year 2021 the organization called the chain to replace the demonstration, of normal, massive. In this way, all the participants stood two meters apart for a few minutes as a way to join forces for equality and the end of sexist violence.

This year, the concentration of women took place in the same way along one of the main streets of the capital of the region. This was how the meeting went yesterday, Tuesday, March 8, International Women's Day:

  1. July says:

I see, from previous comments, that it is necessary to continue manifesting for a long time.
    What level !!

  2. TARE says:

the revolution of mental retards, supported by governments, corporations and media hahaha

    make it happen

  3. Reuss Erika Galindo says:

What I would like to know is why these demonstrations, chains or whatever they are, are not held in front of mosques or in areas with a large occupation of Mohammedan residents, since we, the Spanish and other Europeans, live in some countries privileged, although not total, in terms of women's rights. And since we are talking about equalities, I would also like to know why they call a women's day, when women's day (and men's, of course) is day to day, throughout the year. And why, the minister who convenes it, earns an astronomical salary that, compared to that of other working women, is outrageous. But she will not distribute it among those who need it most for receiving ridiculous salaries despite working much more than her. Of course, it does not represent me.

  4. Vecino says:

Let's see if on November 19 something is also done for Men's Day.
There are also men who suffer from personal and salary discrimination.
There are jobs that only women want and can also be done by men.
Men who suffer physical and psychological abuse from their partners.

We don't have to make Women's Day a political ideology, but fight for joint equality between men and women.
