The works on the Edificant Plan of the Carolina Sala school center already have a start date. They will start next March, specifically on the 20th. This has been confirmed by the company awarded the project to the Pego City Council.
One of the main objectives of the project is to eliminate the humidity and leaks that the center has been experiencing for some years. To do this, the roof of the gym area will be waterproofed and coating work will be carried out in the exterior areas of the center.
Three entrances will also be improved and updated, one in the children's area, another in the main courtyard and a third to access the small garden that the school has. In addition, several other actions will be carried out inside the building, among which the remodeling of a bathroom area stands out.
The company Rafael Zarzoso (awardee of the project) will be in charge of making the improvements to this planning. Some work whose value amounts to 232.958,30 euros, financed through the Pla Edificant.

To prevent the works from interfering with the students' classes, an action plan has been drawn up, agreed upon with the center's management, which contemplates carrying out the work in stages, in parts. We will start with the areas that are the least in the way. The execution period for these works is five months. "Little by little, the school renovation projects that are so needed are being completed so that the boys and girls, and also the teachers, can enjoy optimal facilities," says the Councilor for Urban Planning, Laura Castellà.
