On the night of Monday to Tuesday, in just over a second, the astronomical camera of the Marina Alta Astronomical Association and Costa Blanca Astronomical Society located in Dénia captured the passage of some remains of a Chinese Space Agency ship.
The rocket was launched on June 5 and the various traces of luminous objects observed in different parts of the world belong to the fragmentation of one of the phases of said ship. The camera installed in the region is intended for the detection of meteors, although on Monday night it captured the passage of the reentry of the remains in its field angle.
The Marina Alta Astronomical Association reports that the re-entry occurred over the Atlantic, off the coast of Morocco. From there, the pieces of the rocket advanced in a northeasterly direction, flying over the Strait of Gibraltar. After that they continued over the Mediterranean Sea, passing very close to the Almería coast. Finally, the burned remains died out over the Mediterranean, between the coasts of Murcia and Algeria.
The final mission of the ship was to transport three astronauts to the space station that the Asian country is building in Earth orbit.
