Developing the management of the municipality as an Intelligent Tourist Destination (DTI) under the parameters of sustainability, competitiveness and adaptation to the digitization of tourist activity, that is the objective that Teulada-Moraira pursues and has achieved.
The DTI is about the maintenance of an endorsed tourist information system and the implementation of intelligent solutions adapted to the needs of the destination.
The DTI model is based on a system of indicators structured in nine areas:
- Governance
- Sustainability
- Accessibility
- Innovation
- Connectivity
- Financial
- Information
- Online marketing
Evaluation of tourism activity
The DTI allows the collaboration and involvement of social agents, such as the administration, residents, tourists, companies, associations, among others.
The coordination of all these parties will be a key factor in the success of the Smart Tourist Destination (DTI).
As stated by the Councilor for Tourism, Alejandro Llobell, “tourist destinations that do not adapt to the new times, run the risk of becoming obsolete at all levels. We must think that data is the gold of the XNUMXst century ”.
