Teulada City Council invests 54.048,50 euros (base budget for the tender) for the installation of different LED lighting equipment in municipal sports facilities. A project that achieves an improvement in the reduction of emissions, energy efficiency and renovation of the facilities.
The initiative will mean a monthly saving of 433,09 euros and an annual saving of 5.269,29 euros. In addition to the environmental implications of using the new LED technology, among which are a longer useful life, less maintenance, high energy efficiency and low ecological impact (CO2 emissions will be reduced
64,08% per year).
Thus, five actions are being carried out, three in Teulada and two in Moraira: covered pavilion, tennis court and 8-a-side football field in Teulada; two football pitches, indoor and paddle tennis courts in Moraira.
The Councilor for Sports, Luis Caballero, has remarked that "betting on energy saving is an effective measure that benefits us all".
