Teulada's historic Colón street has completed its redevelopment process. This remodeling, carried out with due respect for the unique characteristics of the environment, recognized as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), has been adapted to the heritage conditions established in this context.
The inauguration was attended by the mayor of Teulada Moraira, Raúl Llobell, as well as councilors from the government team, the president of the Alicante Provincial Council, Antonio Pérez, the mayor of Benissa, Arturo Poquet, and numerous residents of the location.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Toni Reig, expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the project, highlighting: «The redevelopment of Colón Street represents an important step in our commitment to the preservation of the historical heritage of Teulada. "We have worked hard to ensure that these works are carried out with due respect for our urban history and with a focus on improving the quality of life of our citizens."
For his part, the president of the Alicante Provincial Council, Antonio Pérez, highlighted the collaboration between the City Council and the Provincial Council, thanking the mayor of Teulada Moraira for his dedication to the well-being of the municipality. He highlighted the meticulous work carried out in the rehabilitation of Colón Street, underlining respect for the history and architecture of the BIC.

This long-awaited and necessary project not only improves the aesthetics and functionality of one of our most emblematic streets, but also reinforces our promise to continue improving Teulada Moraira, preserving our historical legacy and adapting to the urban development of our town.
The investment in these works has been 1.159.119,50 euros, divided between the Alicante Provincial Council, with a contribution of 390.000,00 euros, and the Teulada City Council, with 769.119,50 euros. This investment has allowed the comprehensive renovation of the road, including the modernization of surface furniture, the improvement of urban infrastructure and the undergrounding of electrical, telecommunications and gas supply networks.
