Only two towns in the region will provide face-to-face service for the Income Statement

The Consell has authorized the signing of collaboration agreements between the Ministry of Finance and Economic Model and 21 municipalities of the Valencian Community to provide from these municipalities the service of attention and assistance to taxpayers in the preparation of Income Tax returns for the Individuals (IRPF) for the year 2022, as well as for, where appropriate, the presentation through the 'Rentaweb' service of declarations for this tax on behalf of third parties.

In these localities, free assistance points will be installed from which the Valencian Tax Agency (ATV) will begin to offer, as of June 1, personalized and free advice through the initiative 'Més prop de tú', both to inhabitants of these localities as well as the adjacent ones.

These are the municipalities of Albaida, Chelva, Chiva (which will have two offices, one in the urban center and the other in the Calicanto urbanization), Ayora, Ademuz, Font de la Figuera, Altea, Santa Pola, Pinoso, El Campello, Torrevieja, Xaló, Xixona, L'Alfàs del Pi, L'Alcora, Sant Mateu, Segorbe, Morella, Vistabella del Maestrat, Benicarló and Montanejos.

In addition to these locations, it will also be possible to receive advice on preparing the income from the three ATV headquarters in the Valencian Community and from the on-site offices of the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT). In the Marina Alta, the only AEAT office is in Dénia, so this will be the second space that will offer face-to-face attention for the Income Statement.

Obligations to fulfill

Through this agreement, the town halls will provide premises for taxpayer care during the month of June with the following hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 09:00 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. and from 16:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. The number of days in which the service will be provided will be specified with each consistory.

Likewise, the place where the service is provided must guarantee accessibility to people with functional diversity and meet the basic requirements of health and hygiene; have an internet connection and a room with sufficient capacity to manage the waits that may occur.

For its part, the Generalitat will provide the personnel specialized in tax matters that will provide the service that is the object of the agreement. For this year, the technical team will be reinforced with 61 interim officials for the position of 'IRPF assistance agents': 21 in the province of Alicante, 29 in Valencia and 11 in Castellón, and who, accompanied by civil servants from ATV race, will attend the scheduled appointments, both in person and by telephone.

In addition, the Generalitat will provide the help computer programs that are required in the offices, as well as the computer equipment and printers necessary to have complete computer workstations.

Telephone service

Likewise, since Friday, May 5, the ATV offers the "We call you" telephone service in order to assist citizens in preparing their income tax returns.

The prior appointment to prepare and present the declaration by telephone can be requested from May 3 on the Internet on the AEAT website and at the numbers 91 535 73 26 and 901 12 12 24 (24-hour automatic service), or from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m., at 91 553 00 71 and 901 22 33 44 (personalized service).
