The Moors and Christians festival of Calp returns to the municipality this 2023 from October 20 to 24. To this end, the Association of Moors and Christians Santíssim Crist de la Suor has prepared a complete program of events that includes all the essential events of the Calpine festival.
Saturday October 14
- 19: 00 hours: Presentation of the festival book and festive music concert in the Auditorium of the House of Culture.
Friday October 20
- 14: 00 hours: Party notice. Ringing of bells and salute of ordinance.
- 19: 00 hours: Entry of bands from Plaza Colón to Plaza del Mosquit.
- 20: 00 hours: Proclamation of festivities and raising of banners in the Plaza Mayor. At the end of the event, offering of candles to the Holy Christ of Sweat in the Virgen de las Nieves Parish.
- 00: 30 hours: entreetes in the old town.
- 01: 00 hours: Dance by the Christian captain, Filà Almogávares.
Saturday October 21
- 09: 30 hours: Diana.
- 12: 00 hours: Children's Diana.
- 18: 00 hours: Christian and Moorish entry. The parade along Grabiél Miró avenue.
- 01: 00 hours: Dance of the Moorish captain, Filà Mascarats.
Sunday October 22
- 12: 00 hours: Solemn mass in honor of Santíssim Crist de la Suor in the Plaza Mayor. At the end of the mass, mascletà in the Plaza Mayor.
- 19: 00 hours: Mass. Then a solemn procession in honor of the Santíssim Crist de la Suor along the usual route of the old town. At the end of the procession, night mascletà in the Plaza Mayor.
- 01: 00 hours: Dance of the flag bearer, Filà Tuareg.
Monday October 23
- 11: 00 hours: Landing and First Battle on the Arenal-Bol beach.
- 18: 00 hours: Children's parade on Gabriel Miró Avenue.
- 20: 30 hours: Parliament, Second Battle and Miracle in the Plaza Mayor.
Tuesday October 24
- 19: 30 hours: Mass for the dead in the Virgen de las Nieves Parish.
