The Moors and Christians festival of Calp returns to the municipality this 2024 from October 18 to 22. To this end, the Association of Moors and Christians Santíssim Crist de la Suor has prepared a complete program of events that includes all the essential events of the Calpine festival.
Friday October 11
- 20: 00 hours: Presentation of the book of festivities, official presentation of the Herald of the Moors and Christians Festivals 2024 and, afterwards, a concert of festive music in the Plaza Mayor.
Friday October 18
- 13: 00 hours: Notice of the start of the festivities. Ringing of bells and firing of ordinance salutes.
- 19: 00 hours: Entry of bands from Plaza Colón to Plaza del Mosquit.
- 19: 30 hours: Parade through the town centre of the Moorish and Christian rows to the Plaza Mayor.
- 20: 00 hours: Proclamation of the festivities and raising of banners in the Plaza Mayor. At the end of the event, offering of candles to the Most Holy Christ of the Suor in the Virgen de las Nieves Parish.
- 00: 30 hours: entreetes in the old town.
- 01: 00 hours: Dance by Captain Moro, in the Filà Moriscos (Carrer de Fora).
Saturday October 19
- 09: 30 hours: Christian and Moorish Diana starting in the Plaza del Mosquit.
- 18: 30 hours: Christian and Moorish Entrance. Parade along Grabiel Miró Avenue.
- 01: 00 hours: Dance of the Association's flag bearer, Filà Almogávares (Ermita Street).
Sunday October 20
- 10: 45 hours: Landing and First Battle on the Arenal-Bol beach.
- 19: 00 hours: Children's parade on Gabriel Miró Avenue.
Monday October 21
- 20: 30 hours: Parliament, Second Battle and Miracle in the Plaza Mayor.
- 01: 00 hours: Captain Cristiano's dance at Filà Contrabandistas (Puríssima Street).
Tuesday October 22
- 12: 00 hours: Solemn mass in honor of Santíssim Crist de la Suor in the Plaza Mayor. At the end of the mass, mascletà in the Plaza Mayor and transfer of Christ to the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves Parish
- 19: 00 hours: Holy Mass at the Parish of Our Lady of the Snows.
- 20: 00 hours: Solemn procession in honor of the Santíssim Crist de la Suor. At the end, night mascletà in the Plaza Mayor.
Wednesday 23 October
- 19: 30 hours: Mass for the deceased at the Parish of Our Lady of the Snows.
