Pego incorporates eight new workers through employment programs

Eight unemployed people were incorporated last December in different areas of the Pego City Council thanks to the employment programs of the Valencià d'Ocupació i Formació Servei de la Generalitat Valenciana (Labora).

On the one hand, through the Empuju 2021/22 program for hiring unemployed people under 30 years of age for local entities of the Valencian Community, within the framework of the Operational Program of the European Social Fund 2014-2020 of the Valencian Community, the Pego City Council has received aid that has allowed it to hire three unemployed people under 30 years of age. They are two administrative assistants and also a gardening laborer. The duration of these contracts will be 12 months. The amount received in this grant is 61,248,33 euros.

Regarding the rest of the contracts, they have been carried out through the Ecovid 2021/22 program for the hiring of five unemployed people of at least 30 years for local entities of the Valencian Community, within the framework of the Operational Program of the European Social Fund 2014- 2020 of the Valencian Community (Avalem Experiència Plus). She is an administrative assistant to work in the Pego Residence for the Third Age; a janitor to reinforce the school staff; a cleaner to increase the City Council's cleaning team, a journalist to carry out tasks related to information regarding the Covid and of interest
general, as well as a children's technician to reinforce the team of the Municipal Children's School 'La Trilladora'.

This is a program in collaboration with local corporations of the Valencian Community, the Conselleria d'Economia Sostenible, Sectors Productius, Comerç i Treball through Generlitat, Labora, Servei Valencià d'Ocupació i Formació: Empuju 2021. It is financed with funds from the State Public Employment Service SEPE. The amount received in this grant is 108,619,11 euros.

These five contracts have been carried out during the month of December 2021 and will have a duration of 12 months.
