During the last two years the records have been similar, an average of 29,25 donations in 2022 and 29,33 in 2023. It should be noted that this is one session per month. Regarding the population range, people between 35 and 49 years old are the people who have volunteered the most (a total of 149). They are followed by neighbors between 50 and 65 years old, 124 people in total have decided to donate blood in the last two years; while the range from 18 to 34 years old, there have been a total of 98 different people.

"It should be noted that the records of volunteers who present themselves to give blood are greater than those who can finally donate it, there are many people who cannot for medical reasons," highlights the mayor, Enrique Moll. In any case, the mayor appreciates "the solidarity of all these people, it is satisfying to know that people care and participate in these types of campaigns that save lives. "I think it would be very beneficial if we increased the numbers."

Good figures for 2024

The donation sessions continue at a good pace at the beginning of 2024. At the January meeting, 25 neighbors showed up, one of them for the first time; although in the end only 21 people were able to donate. As for this month of February, 37 people showed up at the solidarity day, two who were doing so for the first time. Finally, there were 32 who met the requirements to donate blood. "Let's hope that the numbers remain the same or improve for the remainder of the year."
